How much does CSSBuy charge, and how do the loyalty tiers work?

Where many agents advertise "0%" and make their margin elsewhere, CSSBuy states its fee plainly. The standard rate is 6% of the item cost. Regular customers move up tiers and pay less:

On a ¥1,000 haul — about $140 — the difference between standard and Diamond is ¥30, a little over $4. Useful for frequent buyers, not a reason to switch agents on its own. Payment adds its own cost: historical data from 2023 put PayPal at about 3% plus $0.30.

A stated fee isn't worse than a hidden one. Compare CSSBuy's full total — item, 6%, domestic shipping and international shipping — against a "0%" agent's full total for the same haul.

Verdict: CSSBuy is honest about its fee. For occasional buyers the 6% is a real cost; for regulars the tiers soften it.

What is the US court case against CSSBuy?

In 2024 Celine, Christian Dior, Loewe and Fendi sued HONGKONG CSSBUY E-COMMERCE CO., LIMITED, the company trading as CSSBuy, in the US District Court for the Southern District of New York (case 24 Civ. 4627). On October 30, 2024 the court issued an opinion that:

• granted a preliminary injunction in part, finding the brands likely to succeed on their trademark-infringement claims;
• limited the injunction to acts in the United States, refusing a worldwide order because the brands hadn't shown foreign sales led to resale in the US;
• kept an asset freeze in place, restraining roughly $140,000, because CSSBuy hadn't shown the frozen funds were unrelated to the claims.

A preliminary injunction is not a final judgment, and we haven't found a published final outcome. For buyers, the practical points are narrower than the headlines suggest. CSSBuy was still operating when we checked in September 2026. The injunction targets CSSBuy's conduct in the US, which may mean more cancellations of branded items for US addresses. And it's another reason to keep balances small and pay with a method that lets you dispute a charge.

Verdict: The case is a risk signal, not a shutdown. US buyers in particular should expect branded items to be refused and keep top-ups modest.

CSSBuy shipping: the calculator gap and the "Tariffless" line

"cssbuy shipping calculator" and "cssbuy usa" both appear in Google's suggestions, and they meet in one complaint. KakoGuide's review of buyer reports found CSSBuy's calculator consistently underestimates the final charge, typically by $20–50, and rates its shipping prices "mid-to-high" among major agents. For US parcels, CSSBuy offers several lines, including a DHL line labelled "Tariffless" that states how tariffs are handled.

1. Treat the calculator's number as a floor, and add $20–50 to your budget.
2. On US parcels, read the line description carefully; since August 2025 every parcel from China owes duty, and a line that includes it can save a customs bill at the door.
3. Ask for boxes to be removed on shoes — volumetric weight is where most calculator gaps come from.

CSSBuy's reputation: long history, dated tools

CSSBuy's age is its main asset. It has survived several waves of agent closures, and it still shows up in comparison searches like "cssbuy vs superbuy". But its review signals are thin: we couldn't load its Trustpilot page, and its iOS app held about 3.5/5 from roughly 100 ratings in June 2026. KakoGuide also describes a dated website, and reports a paid review programme — 10 yuan per post and 1.5 yuan per Reddit upvote — which is a reason to read enthusiastic CSSBuy posts on forums with some caution.

The comparison people search for most is "CSSBuy vs Superbuy". The two are of a similar age, but they've gone in different directions: Superbuy publishes a detailed fee table and charges nothing on Taobao and 1688, while CSSBuy keeps a flat percentage and rewards loyalty. If you buy mostly from Taobao or 1688, Superbuy is usually cheaper on fees; if you buy often from Weidian and reach a higher CSSBuy tier, the gap narrows. Either way, shipping will outweigh the fee difference on most hauls.

On the service side, QC photos are free on arrival (the count isn't published), storage is 90 days, and payment options include PayPal, Alipay, Western Union, WebMoney and bank transfer.

Verdict: CSSBuy is experienced but not the easiest agent to use in 2026. Choose it if you already know it; newcomers will find clearer options.
